    Czar’s Mound. Entrance

Researchers consider that Bosporian czar Levkon I (389-349 B.C.), belonging to the Spartokids dynasty was buried in the Csar’s Mound. From top of Mitridat Mountain in Kerch one can see two grey hills. These are famous Melek-Chesmen Mound and Csar’s Mound. They house stone burial vaults, silent eyewitness of Pantikapey former glory. Both monuments were presumably built in the 4th century B.C.
