The main historical sight of the town is The Khan’s palace. Originally it was situated in the valley Atlama-Dere. But in time the valley become a place fir living for the host and the valetry. That is why the residence of the ruler was transferred from the gorge to the river Churuk-Su. Mengly-Gireja Adil-Sahib-Girej 9ruled in 1532 – 1551) – the first khan in the time of which the first mention is made of Bahchisaray. In the time of this khan was founded new palace, building of which lasted till 1551.
